Meet Dandy!

AGE:  This somewhat scruffy looking orange lion of a boy hasn’t had the easiest life, but 8-year-old Dandy is still eager to please.

PERSONALITY:  He’s shy at first, but soon turns sweet and cuddly, enjoying the attention of gentle people who treat him with respect and are willing to give him the time and love he so desires.

HIGHLIGHTS:  We all need a friend who loves us for who we are. That’s all Dandy is asking for. Come meet this sweet guy and give him the ultimate gift: a quiet, loving forever home in time for the holidays.

AVAILABLE:  At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S Pacific Hwy, Phoenix.  Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. weekends.

COST: Dandy’s adoption fee is only $50 and includes a free wellness visit at a local veterinarian office.  Dandy is neutered.

Meet Pinto!

AGE:  Pinto is a spunky 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Pit Bull Terrier mix who loves to learn and play!

PERSONALITY:  He is smart and eager to please, and would love for his new family to teach him lots of fun tricks and continue his training. Pinto loves treats and will do anything to get a delicious cookie.

HIGHLIGHTS:  Pinto spent some time in a foster home, who reports he is a wonderful dog to have around.  He is housetrained and crate-trained. Pinto has done well with other dogs who are playful and I prefers small social groups, so the dog park is not a good match. With daily exercise and training, Pinto be a happy, healthy dog!

Meet Piper!

AGE:  I am Piper, a happy-go-lucky gal, who is about 2 years old. I am sweet, affectionate, and love people.

Meet Marceline!

AGE:  Hi, I’m Marceline, a sometimes friendly, sometimes feisty, 2-year-old short-hair black kitty.

PERSONALITY:  I’m an independent girl who loves to do my own thing, but also likes hanging out next to my people.  I’m not quite ready for laps yet, but once I know that I can trust you, lap time could be in our future.

HIGHLIGHTS:  I’ve been living with other kitties in a free-roaming room at the shelter, and have done fine with them.  Those kittens are even teaching me how to play!  I will need time to adjust in my new home, with slow introductions to resident cats or dogs. If you are looking for a sleek, friendly, independent kitty girl, won’t you come meet me?

AVAILABLE:  At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S Pacific Hwy, Phoenix.  Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. weekends.

COST: Marceline’s adoption fee is $50 and includes a free wellness visit at a local veterinarian office. Marceline is spayed.
