DONNY – I AM AN ATHLETIC GENIUS.

A perfect combination of brains and brawn is everyone’s dream. Imagine, teaching a dog smarter than Einstein—one who learns new commands quickly and with passion. Or, picture yourself admiring my athletic prowess as we go for a run, a hike or a casual stroll. Of course, I adore children and am popular with other dogs that have a similar rowdy play style. Throw in my extensive love for humans and you have the perfect companion. One who will not only love you above all else (except for chasing small animals), but who will happily snuggle with you at the end of the day.

To make DONNY a fun-loving part of your family, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654.  As one of April’s Fabulous Featured Canines, Donny’s adoption fee is $50 and includes one hour of free in-home training.

GANDALF – I AM EVERY TEACHER’S PET

ADOPTED!!  Teachers love me and you will too. I’m a born learner, especially when there are treats involved, and know many basic commands. My love of learning brings out the explorer in me, so my new home will need to have secure fencing to contain my wanderlust. A fence, coupled with daily walks and playtime, will keep me where I really want to be—right by your side. Of course, life is a balance between fun and learning. I’m a natural with most other dogs in daily playgroups. And, I can be a complete clown when a bit of attention is in order. So, if you are seeking the perfect balance between fun and learning, look no further. I am every teacher’s pet and I’d like to be your lifelong companion too.

To make GANDALF a loving part of your active family, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654.  As one of April’s Fabulous Featured Canines, Gandalf’s adoption fee is $50 and includes one hour of free in-home training.

HOPE – I AM THE CALM IN A CHAOTIC WORLD.

Most people say that I bring them a sense of peace. Because I’m partially deaf with 70% vision in only one eye, people get to connect with me through touch, gentle guidance and, of course, hot dogs. I’m looking for a patient home who can teach me a few hand signal commands and are adept at the universal sign for love—lap snuggling. Take me on a walk and enjoy my exceptional leash manners. Spend a quiet day at home and relish my gentle nature and subtle requests for belly rubs. A word of warning though: Don’t look into my eyes unless you are prepared to take me home. One glance at my adoring face and I’m yours forever.

To make HOPE a loving part of your family, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654.  As one of April’s Fabulous Featured Canines, Hope’s adoption fee is $50 and includes one hour of free in-home training.

GABBY – I AM LOYALTY

ADOPTED!!!! While some dogs are social butterflies, I value meaningful connections with people. I’m the essence of loyalty searching for the right home to lavish with love. Think of me as a quiet genius, eager to learn and please. Since I’m deaf, I need a patient person who can help me to learn hand signals. Luckily, I love treats and learn quickly. I also enjoy daily playgroups with respectful dogs. Because I prefer a calmer environment, I will do best in a home with either older children or adults only. So, if you’re looking for a dog that sees you as the light of her life, come visit me and prepare to fall in love.

To make GABBY a special part of your family, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654.  As one of April’s Fabulous Featured Canines, Gabby’s adoption fee is $50 and includes one hour of free in-home training.

BINGO

ADOPTED!!!! Bingo is an affectionate dog who is approximately 11 months old and is learning skills in his foster home. He is very loving to his people and enjoys cuddling. He rides well in the car, appears to be house trained, and has good indoor manners. Bingo has a high energy play style and does best with dogs who match his play style. Bingo gets along with children, but may not do well in a home with cats. He has been easy to have in my home, walks well on the leash and he is very sociable with people. However, Bingo is still a puppy, and can get revved up when people around him are amped, but he is calm when people around him are calm. Because he can be escape oriented, secure fencing is a must. Bingo is healthy, up to date on his shots, and has been neutered.

To make BINGO a part of your active family, please call his foster mom, Michelle, at 510-589-7341 or the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654.  As one of April’s Fabulous Featured Canines, Bingo’s adoption fee is $50 and includes one hour of free in-home training.
