Dog & Cat Adoption Event @ Ashland YMCA

Come meet the lovely adoptable cats and dogs at our local YMCA!
On Friday, June 20th from 8:30am-11:30am come to 540 YMCA Way, Ashland, OR.
It’s an event where you can meet and greet with some very special dogs and cats.
Join us for a heartwarming Pet Palooza at the Ashland Family YMCA. We’re teaming up with Jackson County Animal Shelter and bringing our own FOTAS foster animals to showcase them for adoption.

Adopting a foster dog or cat can be a good choice for a number of reasons, including:
- Better transition to home life: Many shelter dogs can be stressed and anxious. Fostering helps them adjust to a home environment, making the transition into a new home easier for all.
- More one-on-one attention: Dogs and cats in foster care receive more attention than they might in a crowded shelter. This helps the animals decompress and let their wonderful real personality come out.
- Better behavior: Dogs and cats in foster care show significant improvements in behavior, such as being more playful, friendly, and confident.
- Learn more about the dog or cat: Foster parents know all sorts of info about the dogs and cats they are caring for. This helps provide a great jumpstart for the new people adopting. Finding the best fit for everyone, dog or cat included, makes for a great adoption!
- Free up space in the shelter: FOTAS fosters those Shelter dogs that are having the hardest time in the Shelter. Fostering helps frees up space in the Shelter for another dog in need.
